Employees who work with uncontrolled hazardous waste are required to have Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) 24 Hour Training.

Our HAZWOPER course comes with 24 hours of instruction, as required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e) (3). This is a government-mandated OSHA Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response training standard. This course has 14 sections that deal with workplace hazards associated with HAZWOPER. Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate that is accepted by OSHA as documentation of training.

This course is for workers who are only occasionally at the job site, perhaps for a limited job function. These employees are not likely to be exposed beyond permissible exposure limits and published limits. The course is also for workers who are regularly at the job site but who work in areas that have been monitored and designated as being under permissible exposure limits. In such areas respirators may not be necessary because there are no health or emergency hazards. Still, workers must have 24 hours of training and one day of supervised field experience before they can enter the site.

The course meets the standard for 24 hours of initial training. The one day of supervised field experience will be the responsibility of the employer.
